i understand how or why someone would criticize Barack Obama for his “bitterness” comments. i get it, i really do. but the only people that have a right to be offended by his statements are the elite, upper class that depend on the frustration of the poor and middle class to further their political and economic objectives. there is a segment of the political elite, left and right, that feeds on the deepening divide between the “haves” and the “have nots”. Perhaps I am grasping at straws, but I see a connection between stories like this and this. The Justice Department is in the habit of cutting deals instead of prosecuting corporate law breakers and corporations like American Airlines are forced to ground 300 planes in their fleet due to safety violations. Stories like these are an all to common occurrence. It’s depressing to be honest. Where is the moral outrage?
Radiohead has jumped into the re-mix fray. unlike pretty much everyone else, you have to buy the individual tracks from the iTunes store. i’m actually kinda annoyed by this. $5usd seems a little steep when they were practically giving the whole album away last year. i’m gonna go ahead and make the prediction that this is not going to be nearly as successful as the Nine Inch Nails re-mix projects. i would have guessed it was some sort of bad april fool’s joke, but the link to the apple store is still active today.
